'Bluebird' is a study shapes. It began as a non-objective collection of colors, textures and shapes and I worked it until I was satisfied that they were all in right relationship. I also rotated the piece until the orientation felt right. In this piece I have personified the shapes so to me at least they are gathering, surrounding and nurturing and being led by the large swath of alpha red.
