NEWBURYPORT ART ASSOCIATION 2021 WINTER MEMBERS’ JURIED SHOW – PART 2
Drawing, Fine Crafts, Oil, Pastel, and Watercolor
February 26th, 2021 - March 27th, 2021

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Dates to Remember:
  • Deadline for applications is Monday, January 31st
  • Notification of Accepted Works: Monday, February 8th via email
  • Notification of Juror Awards: Friday, February 26th via email
  • Receiving of Accepted Works: Sunday, February, 21st, 11-5 pm
  • Pick-up: Sunday, March 28th, 11 am -5 pm
Requirements:
  • Entry fee $19 per submission max of 2 per artist 
  • Artist and master receive 2 free submissions (see below) 
  • Master/Artist Plus Members: To receive a free entry use discount code MASTER as a coupon
  • Must create an artist profile on ArtCall.org to be able to submit, please fill out all required fields, if you have any questions about setting up account please reach out to our Operations Manager, Madeline at mgaffey@newburyportart.org
  • Must be a current NAA Member to apply (not a member or need to renew? please go to our membership page at newburyportart.org)
  • All work must be for sale
  • Maximum size 30” x 30” (image size) 
  • All work must be original, created within the past two years, and conceived by the artist, new work is strongly encouraged. Work previously exhibited in one NAA  Show may be entered 
  • No reproductions or giclée prints
  • No wet paintings – if a painting cannot be handled, please choose a different work
  • Gallery wrapped canvas must have deep profile stretcher, stapled on back w/gessoed or painted sides
  • Submission of an entry constitutes agreement with all the terms of the NAA Shows and artist grants rights of use of images for marketing purposes only
PLEASE NOTE FRAMING REQUIREMENTS!
  • Acceptable hardware for wood frames: screw-eyes or d-rings
  • Acceptable hardware for metal frames: hardware that screws secure in track (not sliding)
  • No saw tooth hangers, spring clips, tension mounts, standing photo frames, or pop-in frames
 
Receiving: Sunday, February 21st from 11 AM – 5 pm (Note this is the same day as pickup for Winter Juried Show Part 1) We are staggering receiving times by alpha based on last names. Please wear a mask, and adhere to the following schedule if possible:
  • A-D 11am- 12 noon
  • E-I 12-1
  • J-M 1-2
  • N-R 2-3
  • S-V 3-4
  • W-Z 4-5
  • Pick-Up Work: Sunday, March 28th, 2021, 11-5. The artist bears responsibility for pickup of artwork on date stated above. Work left at the NAA beyond that date is no longer the responsibility of the NAA and after 60 days becomes the property of the NAA.
 
Insurance & Artist’s Responsibility Works will be handled with all possible care. NAA provides insurance up to 60% of retail value declared by the artist, from the day of the receipt of the artwork to the final day of the scheduled pick-up period, or delivery of and payment for work sold to the buyer. The artist bears all responsibility for loss of, or damage to, work not picked up by the end of the scheduled pick-up period. NAA is not responsible for work not removed by final day of scheduled pick-up period. Artists will be charged $20 late fee for work left beyond the pick-up period unless prior arrangements are made with the office. NAA takes a 40% commission on sales. Please provide notification in advance if someone other than the artist will be picking up artwork.
